Introduction – Interview with Athena Vas
In an era where personal transformation and self-empowerment have become central themes for many people around the world, author and transformation coach Athena Vas introduces a powerful message through her book “This Is My Era: The Glow-Up Blueprint.”
Designed as a practical guide for women seeking to rebuild confidence, overcome adversity, and step into their true potential, the book presents Athena’s signature ATHENA Formula™, a framework that combines emotional resilience, personal development, and purposeful action. Through her approach, Athena encourages readers to redefine their lives from the inside out — transforming challenges into opportunities for growth and empowerment.

In this interview, Athena Vas shares the inspiration behind her work, the philosophy of the Glow-Up Blueprint, and her vision for helping women around the world embrace their strength, reclaim their confidence, and boldly declare: “This is my era.”

Dimitrios Kannavos : Athena, what inspired you to write This Is My Era: The Glow-Up
Blueprint, and what personal experiences shaped the philosophy
behind the book?
AthenaVas – I’ve spent many years working on myself, and I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come—from who I
used to be to the woman I am today. My transformation wasn’t just external; it started internally. I
realized that when you truly work on loving yourself from the inside, it naturally reflects on the outside.
That’s where the real glow comes from.
What inspired me to write this book was seeing how many women are going through the same
struggles I once faced—feeling stuck, lost, or unsure how to become the woman they know they’re
capable of being. For me, that journey was difficult because I didn’t have a clear roadmap.
With my background in education and personal development, I wanted to create a blueprint that helps
women transform their lives. In the book, I guide readers through letting go of the past, discovering who
they truly are, and stepping into the woman they want to become. It includes journal prompts, rituals,
mindset exercises, and practical tools to help women rebuild themselves from the inside out.
Dimitrios Kannavos – Your work focuses on helping women rebuild confidence and
transform their lives. In your view, what are the most common
obstacles that prevent women from stepping into their true
potential?
AthenaVas – The biggest obstacle is simply not believing it’s possible. Many women feel like their time has passed or that transformation is only for someone else. They think, “It’s too late for me.”
Then there are women who feel that spark inside them—they know they want more—but they feel stuck because they don’t know how to begin.
That’s exactly why I created a step-by-step blueprint. Transformation isn’t about luck or timing; it’s
about having the right mindset and the right tools to move forward.
The book introduces your signature ATHENA Formula™. Could youexplain the core principles of this method and how it guides someone through personal reinvention?
AthenaVas – The ATHENA Formula™ is a simple, structured roadmap for personal reinvention.
A – Awareness: The first step is recognizing that you want to change your life. The book includes
reflection prompts and journaling exercises that help readers understand where they are and where
they want to go.
T – Transformation: Once you become aware, you begin the transformation process—slowly stepping
into the woman you want to become.
H – Habits: Real change comes from daily habits. I help readers build routines and practices that align
with the life they want to create.
E – Empowerment: This stage focuses on building confidence and learning how to truly stand in your
power.
N – Nurture: Self-care is essential. This includes emotional care, physical health, and the practices that
support a true glow-up—from mindset and fitness to beauty and wellness rituals.
A – Ascension: This is where everything comes together. You’ve let go of the past, built new habits,
and stepped fully into the woman you’re meant to be
Dimitrios Kannavos – You speak about the concept of a “glow-up” not only as an external
transformation but also as an inner one. How important is emotional
and psychological growth in this process?
AthenaVas –Emotional growth is the foundation of everything.
When you truly love who you are, you glow from the inside out. You’re happier, more confident, and
more peaceful. That inner work—journaling, affirmations, routines, and healing—creates the real
transformation.
Once that internal glow is there, the external glow naturally follows. In the book I talk about healthy
living, fitness routines, facial yoga, skincare, peptides, and other self-care practices. But those things
only work when the internal foundation is strong.
A true glow-up always begins within.
Dimitrios Kannavos – Many readers may be facing difficult periods in their lives. Whatpractical first step would you recommend for someone who wants to begin their transformation journey today?
AthenaVas – The first step is deciding that you want to change.
Once you make that decision, your mind begins looking for solutions. One powerful exercise is creating a visual environment that reflects the life you want—vision boards, images on your phone, reminders of the woman you want to become.
Then start asking yourself: What would she do? How would she dress? How would she speak? How
would she carry herself?
You begin stepping into that version of yourself little by little. Over time, those small actions become
your new identity.
Dimitrios Kannavos – Your message resonates strongly with women seeking
empowerment. What role does self-belief play in overcoming
adversity and building a new chapter in life?
AthenaVas – Self-belief is everything.
You have to believe that transformation is possible. But even if you don’t fully believe it yet, you can still train your mind to get there.
Our brains respond to repetition. When you repeat affirmations like “I can change” or “I am becoming
the woman I’m meant to be,” your mind slowly begins to accept that reality.
Just like s miling can actually make your brain feel happier, repeating empowering thoughts can rewire
how you see yourself.
Transformation starts with the mind—and once your mind changes, your life follows
