The Prague Actors and Filmmakers Film Festival 2026

 The Prague Actors and Filmmakers Film Festival is back, and it's bigger and more exciting than ever! After the overwhelming success of the inaugural festival in 2023, the third edition is set to captivate audiences from October 8 to 11th , 2026, at a central Movie Theater in Prague.





Building on the success of last year's festival, which took place on the 27th and 28th of July, the Prague Actors and Filmmakers Film Festival continues its mission to be the focal point for both independent and established actors, directors, and filmmakers. The festival serves as a vibrant space, a hub for creativity, and a crucial bridge connecting artists from around the world.

The previous years the festival showcased independent films from talented filmmakers globally, marking the beginning of an annual tradition. The commitment of "Prague Actors and Filmmakers" to foster artistic community and contribute to the growth of the film industry in Prague remains unwavering.



1. International Film Screenings: Experience a curated selection of independent films from around the world, showcasing the diversity and richness of global filmmaking talent.

2. Networking Opportunities: Connect with actors, directors, and filmmakers, both established and emerging, fostering collaboration and the exchange of creative ideas.

The selected films will screened at our in person festival.

The "Best Short Movie" will be screened at "Universal Film Festival Samothraki" that is happening in the island of Samothraki during August.

The film Festival is supported by the Embassy of Greece in Prague, the Embassy of India in Czech Republic, The Embassy of Malta UNESCO Club of Piraeus and Islands and International Action Art.

The judges for the awards are established professionals from the film industry.

All films must be in English or have English language subtitles.

Multiple entries from the same submitter are accepted.

The festival authorities will have the right to retain copies of each film and the material sent as part of our festival library and can be screened in for education, promotion, awareness and commercial purposes.

The films sent to P.A.F.F.F. can be shown on the Czech and International T.V., local network, Internet etc. for promotion and publicity.

Films that are submitted must be the competitor’s original work and shall not infringe any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required copyright permissions regarding music, sound & images etc. presented in their film.

Ideal bit rate - 30-40 Mb/s

Sound - 5.1 or 7.1

Frame rate - 24 FPS

Entry fees are not refundable.
