The Austrian imperial cultural institution “Flame of Peace” house of Habsburg, particularly its sociocultural Institution, whose president is Her Highness Herta Margarete of Habsburg, Archduchess of Austria and Princess of Tuscany, honored Mrs. Tsaousidou, President of the Greek Section of the Association of European Journalists, for her remarkable career with the “Flame of Peace” gold medal, which is governmentally recognized by the Austrian Ministry of Defense and Sports.
The award ceremony was conducted by the representative of the Imperial House of Habsburg, Professor Dr. Tony Hatjidemetriou, Baron Breidel who presented her with the Gold Medal “Flame of Peace”, in recognition of her devotion, moral integrity, and leadership qualities in journalism.
The Imperial Court selected her due to her values of peace, solidarity, and cooperation. Through cultural openness and journalistic diplomacy, Mrs. Tsaousidou has built and continues to expand bridges between institutions and countries over the years. She advocates for the Freedom and independence of press, as well as for human rights, and dreams of a just world centered on the human being. For 38 years, she has served values of the European journalism with exemplary integrity, selflessness, and respect!

“Dear guests,
It is with great pleasure that today,” Flame of Peace”, our organization for the promotion of peace and friendship among nations, based in Vienna and with a global presence, honors in Athens one of the prominent personalities of Greece in journalism, Mrs. Isaia Tsaousidou.
Mrs. Tsaousidou, President of the Greek Section of the AEJ, and former AEJ International President, based in Brussels, practices the profession of journalism with respect, dedication and sensitivity especially in relation to humanitarian issues and issues of discrimination.
Her activities, which extend far beyond European borders, have also expanded to Asia, were survival difficulties, due to wars and oppression by totalitarian regimes, trap social groups, especially women and children, in adverse survival conditions, prompting it her to bring these issues to the attention of international fora, such as: the European Parliament and the United Nations Organizations.
I would like, as the President of “Flame of Peace”, to award Mrs. Isaia Tsaousidou with the Gold Medal “Flame of Peace”, which carries government recognition by a decision of the Austrian Ministry of Defense and Sports, and to entrust my representative, Professor Dr. Tony Hatjidemetriou, Baron Breidel, to bestow this honor on behalf of me to Mrs. Isaia Tsaousidou”.
