When Venezuela called, Europe answered.
Following the devastating earthquakes of 24 June, 12 countries offered assistance via the #EUCivilProtection Mechanism - deploying search and rescue teams, medical experts, telecoms support, and relief items to those in need.
The EU's Emergency Response Coordination Centre also deployed 10 experts to coordinate the response on the ground.
This is European solidarity in action.
